About EirHolt
Hello, I’m Zulal, the founder of EirHolt, a mum of two and someone who has always been fascinated by the natural world.
From a young age, I was the child constantly asking why — why bees make honey, why plants produce different compounds, why traditional foods existed long before modern nutrition, and how people once cared for themselves using the resources around them.
That curiosity led me to study Biology and complete a Bachelor of Science degree, deepening my appreciation for nature, food science and the remarkable complexity of living systems.
Over the years, my interests grew into traditional foods, beekeeping, natural history, herbal traditions and wholefood nutrition. Again and again, I found myself returning to the same thought: some of the most remarkable ingredients have been quietly with us all along.
EirHolt was born from that curiosity.
The name EirHolt draws from Eir, a figure in Norse mythology associated with healing, and holt, meaning a woodland or grove. It reflects the feeling I wanted EirHolt to embody — a place connected to nature, tradition and the quiet wisdom of the natural world.
Inspired by Nordic mythology and the forests, mountains and traditions of the North, EirHolt brings together wholefoods, carefully selected bee products, handcrafted body care, natural personal care and pure beeswax candles. Some products are made by me in small batches, while others are thoughtfully selected from trusted producers.
Alongside our products, EirHolt is also a place for learning. Through our journal and Ingredients Library, I explore the science, history and traditions behind food, botanicals, bee products and everyday ingredients — not simply what they are, but why they have been valued across generations.
Today, EirHolt is proudly based in Victoria, Australia, with a focus on simple ingredients, thoughtful sourcing, honest product information and careful craftsmanship.
My hope is that EirHolt inspires a slower, more curious way of living — one that values knowledge, tradition, craftsmanship and the quiet beauty of the natural world.
